Emma Louise was born and raised on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. At a young age, she started attending classes at the Art Students League of New York, where she discovered her passion for figurative painting. At 16, she became a nationally recognized, award winning artist through the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Some winners of this prestigious award include Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Ken Burns, and Zac Posen, to name a few.
Ms. Louise began working as an assistant to Italian muralist Roberto Alberici, eventually becoming his partner, until his death in 2016. Both Ms. Louise and Mr. Alberici's murals are displayed in private collections, from NYC to LA.
Emma went on to study abroad in Florence, at the Florence Academy of Fine Art, where her passion for classic paintings and the traditional way in which they were made, were exemplified. On arrival back to New York, Ms. Louise brought back more than just knowledge, but the passion in creating art from start to finish, from weathering pigments, to preservation.
She is currently continuing her studies in Art History at Columbia University in New York City.
